- Pet Mass June 2008 On June 1, 2008, St. Patrick's parishioners brought their dogs, cats, birds and turtles to celebrate to a "Pet Mass" on the front lawn. The critters were treated to water, special animal treats and a very special blessing for all they do to make our world so much brighter.
- Father Paul's Birthday Where There's Smoke, There's Fire!
After 10:30 mass on June 29, two “firefighters” entered the sanctuary at St. Patrick’s. The birthday cake they were carrying had a number of candles on it, and there was fear that the fire would spread.
OK; actually, there weren’t THAT many candles----just a “six” and a “zero”----for Fr. Paul’s birthday, which happened to fall on that day, which also happened to be the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul.
Everyone sang “Happy Birthday,” and later helped Father eat the cake (decorated with a Milwaukee Brewers symbol) in Geenen Hall.
Upon leaving, we wished Fr. Paul all the best in the next year, with many more happy, healthy years ahead.
- Mass In the Park 2008 On July 19th, 200 parishioners gathered to celebrate mass and our parish community at our 12th annual Mass In the Park. Our very own L2W group led the community in song. The mass included a special liturgical dance reflection after communion. "PeeWee" Doverpike spent time with the children to teach them a song from Godspell. After mass all gathered to enjoy brats, burger, potato salad and baked beans prepared by the Parish Staff. Our final treat was a cold and tasty Dilly Bar donated by Archie's Dairy Queen.
